In 2002 I entered a local guitar shop with the intent of becoming a bass player. As I entered, I noticed a new fender telecaster on the wall in a beautiful sage metallic colour. Immediately my decision changed and I purchased that instead and the direction of my music changed. The guitar is what I consider my first 'real instrument' and was my only one for 10 years or so. It has sometimes been put to the side, but it always comes back. Over the past two years in particular it has come back with a vengeance, it's simplicity and directness proving to be the perfect conduit from my hands my head and heart to the ears. Sage Metallic is my little tribute to my loyal friend.
